Ch-ch-ch-changes
Well, after 10 years, it’s time to move on. Today is my last day at the Georgia Straight. After 500 issues, a not inconsiderable amount of blood, sweat & tears, and nearly a decade of reviewing books, I’ve given my notice.
It’s a bittersweet day - I’ve come to really care for some of my coworkers - but change is exciting/necessary. In the new year, I’ll be able to reveal my next position - I’ll post here; plus, if you’re in the industry and would like to keep in touch, please email me at johnburnsis [at] gmail [dot] com - but for now, I’m going to take some days off, hang out with the kids, tinker with the laptop (damn DVD drive), play with my Christmas presents, breathe, and listen to music.
