Oh-ho! I’d been wondering where you’d gone to. Change is lovely, I always think. Best of luck in the new position, and in all your future writings. If you don’t mind I will blog-link you, just to keep in touch :-)

Congratulations! I’m so pleased for you. A new adventure is always so terrific. It’s the adult equivalent of September: new back to school wardrobe, new pens, blank paper, and a world of possibilities.

Terrible about Raincoast. (I was lucky that my last two books with them are being pushed out this Spring, but I’m worrying about all my newly homeless projects.) I hope Flow finds a new home ASAP!

    Congrats!

And appropos of absolutely nothing, I thought you might enjoy this cute little mash-up of Smallville and Buffy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BNfzrT5ks8

Congrats, John. Sorry to hear about Raincoast. I thought they made a fortune from Canadian rights to Harry Potter??? I take it Susan Swan has never read anything outside of the limited genre of realistic literary fiction if she can describe Pullman’s work as ‘little more than a children’s fantasy.’ If I were Pullman, I would be more offended by her remark than by the banning. At least the latter recognises the gravity of the work! OR Melling (PS tried to login with my blog account but it wouldn’t accept! http://www.ormelling.blogspot.com.)
